2nd Amendment more important than ever

Recent events in Minnesota and around the country has seen Minnesota's police under attack. Many people are taken in by a manipulated video purporting to show police deliberately harming George Floyd ignoring the fact that he was given a lethal amount of fentanyl before the police arrived and that the police tried hard to save his life. The resulting riots not only destroyed large parts of Minneapolis, over 1500 buildings, but somehow encouraged irresponsible members of the Minneapolis city council to move to abolish the police! Minnesota must work quickly to restore safety and security. Purchases by private citizens of firearms are allowed by the 2nd Amendment. At no time in recent history has it been so necessary for ordinary citizens to simply obey the law and protect their loved ones.

But Tina Smith continues to be an ideologue and in fact shows no interest in making policing safer by introducing the co-responders urged by President Trump. I want a responsible approach to safety and security throughout the state.
