My Statement of Expectation for Romney-Ryan in 2012

The value of this Ryan pick, in addition to putting a team together that will take Washington in the right direction, is that Romney can lead Ryan and get Congress to be more effective. We have to get started NOW, not after the election, looking at this fiscal cliff, and looking at fiscal policy, and LEADERSHIP, to pull back from a second recession. We have to get it done, now, because Obama's team is failing and drifting aimlessly.

Ryan is leading the budgeting process in Congress (or has been). But he has strayed from discretionary spending and into entitlements. If Romney does that, tries to balance the budget on the backs of seniors and our children's future by playing with entitlements, I'll vote against him. But working with the new White House and new Senate, we can get the whole package and stop the drift and get the nation headed back in the right direction by restoring opportunity, and assuring those who would create business and jobs that we have a government that encourages them and doesn't fight them.

Ryan is knowledgable on how we can get the fiscal house back in order, but that just doing Congressional politics as usual (cutting deals without making fundamental changes) is not going to be enough right now. But to get that fiscal house back in order, Romney's experience and skills are absolutely essential.

I intend to vote for and support the Romney-Ryan ticket because they can not only win the election (if they set out their plans for correcting our recent unfortunate path in the economy and quality of life), but they get us back in the race for true prosperity. It's a tall order, but we, the American people, can do it.
