Teresa Collett, endorsed by the Republican Party, told the Star Tribune she agree with repealing ObamaCare. But that is misleading, because she says she won't repeal it, but wait five years, until a new president is elected so the repeal can't be vetoed.

But real opponents of Obamacare aren't waiting. Associated Press reported that
"RICHMOND, Va. - Virginia's lawsuit challenging the Obama administration's health care reform package cleared its first legal hurdle Monday when a federal judge ruled the law raises a host of complex constitutional issues. Virginia Attorney General Ken Cuccinelli claims in the lawsuit that Congress doesn't have the authority to require citizens to buy health insurance or pay a penalty."

"U.S. District Judge Henry Hudson's ruling denied the Justice Department's attempt to have the lawsuit dismissed, saying further hearings were needed to weigh the merits of the case. An Oct. 18 hearing had previously been set.

"Unquestionably, this regulation radically changes the landscape of health insurance coverage in America," Hudson wrote in his 32-page decision. The Virginia General Assembly passed legislation this year exempting state residents from the federal coverage mandate. Hudson wrote that the attorney general had a right to defend that state law.

Also, TPM reports that "Missouri voters take a stand on their Republican-written ballot measure dubbed the "Health Care Freedom Act." The vote is today, August 3, and centers around the individual insurance mandate included in the sweeping overhaul of the nation's health care system. If it passes, it would amend state statutes to deny the federal government the authority to penalize people for not buying health insurance. Boosters are campaigning on the fact that it's the "first time" voters will get a chance to weigh in on health care reform passed this spring.

If this passes today, it will also face a court suit like Virginia's statute, but it will also sent a large message to Congress that this ObamaCare is rejected. The big contest will be November 2.
